Whats the Most Random Aldi Middle Aisle Purchase You've Made?

Ask a Question

Its Aldi's toy week this week which I am looking forward too as I buy all year round and put away for birthdays/christmas. I've spotted some things on the internet I want if they have them in my local store. The middle aisle with the themes now seems to be much better than it used too, but I do miss the days you would be doing your weekly shop and spot a canoe in there 😂

so have you made any weird/wonderful/random purchases from aldi middle aisle?

I've never actually bought anthing in the middle aisle of Aldi. I've bought some toys from the middle of Lidl before but that's it.

MrsCraig I don’t shop in Lidl (just because there’s not one close enough to me, Aldi I can walk too if I wanted) most of my purchases from the middle aisle have been toys like you. They do actually have some bargains!

HannahSunderlan our Lidl is closer than Aldi but both are relatively easy to get to. I always look in the middle aisles of both but have only ever bought something during the toy events. Although I've heard the school uniform events are ones to look out for.

I don't buy a lot from Aldi, its my nearest supermarket but only do small shops there in passing mostly. Most recently I bought some 90 degree brackets which was a pack of 10 for £2.99 which was good value and in the past I remember buying a dvd player many years ago, this was from the old Aldi which closed. The dvd player had problems reading dual layer dvds and the importer sent me a replacement dvd player without remote without me having to return the original. That was equally awful at reading dual layer dvds but I thought 2 dvd players for the money I paid was ok and didn't try to get a better dvd player. It was a feature packed dvd player but overall quality was poor. I think you need to be careful in the middle isle of both Aldi and Lidl as you can often source the same product cheaper on ebay or amazon. I've also seen some poor quality and value stuff there even compared to local shops.

BonzoBanana oh that’s a really good point I hadn’t thought of, seeing if the middle aisle deals are cheaper online. I’ve only ever really bought a few toys from there when they do the toy event just to put up for birthdays/chrisrmas. sorry to hear your dvd player was rubbish!

I bought a trolley to transport heavy items and then left it in the supermarket trolley

I try and stay focussed when in Aldi and don't look at the middle aisle as too tempting 🤣.
