Can you beat this spelling mistake for a care home ?

Ask a Question

I bet not many siblings were rushing to put their parents in this home

The sign read 'Skeleton' court care home instead of Skelton, not really apt for the elderly at the home

Nobody noticed the mistake and the sign was erected

They might as well have called it 'Almost Heaven Homes' or 'Over the Hill Acres'

Have you seen anything worse ?

Can't say I've seen worse but I must admit to not having much tolerance for bad spelling, my granddaughter is the same and we often compare finds. Stationery and stationary are often confused and I once saw sirlion steak on a restaurant menu!

Lynibis I am the same L , i try to double check my spelling before posting , but i do get annoyed when i see public signs or names spelled wrong , i think i saw one a few months ago where the council had spelled a town name wrong, or could have been a street name, but when there are people being paid to check these things it makes me despair

Of course there are people that have problems like dyslexia where they have difficulty to spell words correctly , that is of course acceptable and understandable and not to be judged

Tbh this is a pretty funny mistake and whilst i could see how some people would deem it inappropriate, I’d personally find it hilarious

Leannexxx Maybe it's a bit like Faulty Towers there , but a care home instead of a hotel, now that would be a good remake for John Cleese and co 🤔

Did they not expect the locals to rename it skeleton court?, more care should have gone into the naming in the first place I think

Do you know how they pronounce Ambulance in Texas, Houston? Ambe Lance 😆

(That's the least of their worries as the crime rate keeps increasing daily)

Euston and Houston... Man, that's way too similar. lol

I've got my eyes set on finally going to Texas (vax pass is no longer required), but ain't going near Houston or the Third Ward or the likes.
