It’s always been tradition for me to put them up on my birthday, 12 December as apparently when I was born they’d just got the tree up and so ever since.

I don’t tend to do it until 1/2 weeks before Christmas. I used to do the 1st when Christmas films come on. Get a bit festive with a little drink and music..

We put ours up usually the 2nd week of December. It looks really pretty with the up. But I get bored of it really quickly as they take up a lot of space in our little house.

I usually put them up on November 28th, 30th or start of December, there is no set rule when to put the Xmas tree🎄 and decorations up, do it whenever you have free time 😊

My birthday is the 10th of December and nothing to do with Christmas happened before that. Then we went all out putting up every Christmas decorations going, inside and out. But now we are away just before Christmas so we don’t do much at all apart from decorate a huge Christmas tree in our front garden. Looks like we celebrate Christmas then! Image Image Image Image

Jerseydrew Since having this cat we now have five. I don’t think it will be a good idea putting up the tree this year!

eyeballkerry you have to. The cats will miss out. It's part of their Christmas to trash the tree. I still don't put decorations on the lower branches of a tree because of cats. I don't have cats. It's habit

My door wreath goes up once I’ve finished making it, usually mid December. Then I decorate the fireplace with fresh Holly and Ivy add some lights and artificial red berries.

Pjran ah is that so. Do you still have the one from last year or year before or are they made with real leaves 🍁 and they wilt?

kitty88uk I gather up greenery from the garden and try to find berries on the holly but I’ve cheated this year. I bought several artificial sprigs of red berries. Just use a metal ring and go from there.

Pjran Yeah they sound like they will last much longer, I’m not good at arts and crafts lol 😆 I need to start putting out Xmas decorations in my room probably the last week of this month and have a small rose gold Xmas tree 🎄

I used to put up decorations when my daughter was young, but I haven't put them up for years now. I don't really like Christmas. Call me the Grinch.

For some reason I don’t like Christmas wreaths. They just make me think of funerals, I just feel weird about them. I understand some people like them and enjoy making them though. Do you like them?

I know some that put them straight after Halloween. I also seen Christmas trees in people's windows around Easter too. Perhaps some keep them all year IDK.

I personally put them in December. Used to buy a real trees for years until I got an artificial one from WeRChristmas on Amazon which looks like real one. With real trees I always purchased them few days before Christmas to keep them fresh until 6th of January. With artificial 1st or second week of December depends if I have time during weekend.

Walking home last night at about 10pm one house in my area has some Christmas lights going on in their windows. Very nice they are too but certainly seems too early to me as we are still in Autumn but if they want to enjoy them for longer I have no problem with it. There is a house about 7 minutes walk from my house that really goes to town with its decorations to the point loads of families with kids go there just to look at it. Always a fantastic reason for a winter evening walk but I don't think that is active until the beginning of December 3 weeks from now.

martinlufc5637 lol that’s so true! Went to town yesterday at Home sense shop so many decorations are up on shelves to sell, windows have so many figurines

Two Xmas 🎄 trees are up for people to take photos

Crazy should be up next week or something

Kind of like spoils the festive season to have them up this damn early every year

kitty88uk traditions have gone unfortunately, take bonfire night for example, bonfire night was last week yet there were more bonfires this weekend than bonfire night, I'm fed up of fireworks, everyday for 2 weeks

martinlufc5637 tell me about it even before the actual night fireworks keeps getting set off, they are so damn loud and out of no where during the day too every time it makes me jump or I get that sinking stomach feeling cause it’s a huge shocking bang!
