Do You Name the Wild Animals That Visit Your Garden?

Ask a Question

Does anyone else give the wild animals that visit their gardens names? Or is it just me?

I currently have Stan the squirrel, Barry and robin gibb- 2 robins nesting in me hanging basket, Dave and sue- 2 pigeons that live in the big tree, Harry the hedgehog- pops by every now and then, and I also have stalky over my allotment who follows me round for dog biscuits

I think this is fairly common, it's nice when you can recognise animals individually and you start to see their own unique personality traits. Unfortunately I discourage wildlife in my garden as my cats are expert hunters!

I have a flock of pigeons I feed regularly and I've named over 60 of them. There is also Lucas and Lewis the male mallards. Cukoo and Cookie the goose couple. Mr Swany pumpkin the Swan. Mickey and Maggie the magpies. Mr Caw Caw for the crow + Ronald the wood pigeon 😂 the feral pigeons name list is super long but I will share a few of my favourite names - Diana, Atticus, Archibald, Reginald and Caesar.
