I didn't know it could ever happen, it is the first time i have come across this
In a very rare phenomenon known as superfetation a woman from Wales got pregnant twice within 28 days, conceiving at different times and giving birth to twins on the same day in 2020
The mum realised something was amiss when the two babies in the womb were different sizes because of the different times of conception
The girls are nearly three years old now but unfortunately Holly was born with cerebral palsy, which affects the right side of her body, and Darcy's stomach lining hadn't developed properly
They both look similar but there is a 6lb difference in their weight
Despite their illnesses the mother says they are happy and doing well
They seem a very happy family

I've heard of this - it's fascinating that babies not conceived at the same time can be born as 'twins'!
