Aldi's Releases NEW McDonald's Inspired Bargain Burgers
Attention savvy shoppers and fast-food lovers! Aldi has just upped the game in the budget supermarket arena by launching two new burgers directly inspired by McDonald's classics, but with a price tag that's hard to beat.
The Double Cheese Burger and the Chicken Burger Southern Fried are Aldi's latest offerings in their 'fakeaway' range. Priced at only £1.79 each, these burgers are not just mouth-watering but also wallet-friendly, especially considering they are 69% cheaper than their McDonald's counterparts. This pricing strategy is a game-changer in the lead-up to the expensive Christmas period.
Aldi's press release boasts about their products' quality. The Chicken Burger, named 'McCripsy' by Aldi, consists of crispy chicken tenders, creamy mayo, and fresh lettuce, all encased in a sesame-topped bun. Meanwhile, the Double Cheeseburger is a concoction of two beef patties, fresh lettuce, tangy cheese, and brioche buns, promising to rival the famous McDonald's version.
This isn't the first time Aldi has taken inspiration from popular fast-food chains. Earlier this year, they received high praise for their hash browns, which many claimed were akin to McDonald's in taste and quality. Such comparisons set high expectations for these new burger additions.
But Aldi doesn't stop there. For those who want the full 'fakeaway' experience, Aldi's Takeaway Style French Fries, priced at £1.49 for a pack of two, are the perfect side. These fries even mimic the iconic red packaging, adding to the overall McDonald's-esque experience.
Tanyel Mustafa from The Metro highlights this exciting launch and its potential impact on budget-conscious consumers.
In conclusion, as Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, puts it, "Aldi's new burgers are a testament to the brand's continuous effort to bring popular flavors to the masses at unbeatable prices, proving that good taste doesn't have to come at a high cost."
Just seems to be they have copied the packaging a bit which really should be illegal. There is no need to copy the style of other brands artwork. Also its just a burger and McDonalds are extremely low quality burgers certainly not anything to take inspiration from. I bought 8 very high quality burgers from Morrisons for £5 plus I used a big voucher on the overall shop. I bought some baps in Lidl the other day for about 20p, 60% reduction and add your own lettuce, sauce and cheese. My own much higher quality burger probably cost me about 70p each. So even the Aldi option at £1.79 seems expensive to me let alone the original McDonalds version.
The great thing about doing your own burger is you can do it exactly as you like it, your choice of everything.
