Amazon and Morrisons have taken their partnership to a new level by offering customers the ability to earn loyalty points on purchases made via the online retail giant. The points, collected through the Morrisons More Card, can be redeemed both online and in-store as "Morrisons More Card Fivers."
Georgia Wright reported in Retail Gazette that this new loyalty points system is part of a larger initiative to enhance the grocery shopping experience on Amazon, particularly for Morrisons products. Alongside this, the partnership introduces a "grocery day" feature, allowing customers to schedule a weekly delivery slot with a pre-filled basket, and a new pre-reservation feature, which secures delivery slots up to an hour in advance.
Amazon Prime members benefit from free same- or next-day delivery with a two-hour delivery window, while non-Prime members can still shop for groceries on the platform. Additionally, customers will earn five points on every qualifying Morrisons product, and those who register their loyalty account and spend £70 within the first two weeks of the launch will receive 500 points.
The collaboration between the two companies continues to grow, with both businesses expressing excitement about the enhanced benefits. Russell Jones, Amazon's Director of Grocery Partnerships, commented: “We are committed to investing in ways for customers to get the best value for their weekly shop, and the integration of More Points to Morrisons on Amazon is a great new way for customers to be rewarded while getting their same-day grocery deliveries."
Charlotte Exell, Morrisons Online Director, added: “As we continue to build on our important partnership with Amazon, we’re thrilled that customers can now earn More Card Points on their groceries as part of our Morrisons on Amazon service."
