Asda Rolls Out Loyalty App Update to Help Parents Save £138 Annually
- Asda partners with charity Parentkind to support UK primary schools
- Families can now contribute to their chosen school directly via Asda’s Rewards app
- Aiming to alleviate financial pressures as many families are asked to contribute to school funding
Asda has introduced a new feature in its Rewards app that allows parents to select and contribute to their child’s primary school. In partnership with Parentkind, the app now includes data for over 22,000 state-funded primary schools across the UK. This new initiative is designed to ease the financial burden many families face, with some contributing up to £138 annually towards school funding.
According to Ruby Flanagan in The Mirror, 87% of parents are asked to make these contributions, and Asda’s move aims to lessen the impact on household budgets during these difficult times.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: "This is a smart move from Asda, offering parents a way to support schools while also addressing the growing concern over rising costs."
It's a shame the world has come to this. 70 years ago we had nothing not even family allowance. We didn't have tatoo parlours, cheap booze, drugs, processed food, internet, TV the list goes on.
We had great education, respect for everyone and home cooked food. We didn't want for anything because we didn't have anything but we had everything.
Fair play to Asda trying to help fill the bottomless pit.
