Asda's Cheeky Rosé Dupe ‘Screaming Devil’ is Turning Heads – And It’s a Bargain
- Asda introduces its own version of the famous Whispering Angel rosé, dubbed ‘Screaming Devil.’
- The £13 bottle is gaining popularity online for its quirky name and affordable price.
- Shoppers are raving about the design and flavour, with some preferring it to the original.
Asda has launched a playful new rosé called ‘Screaming Devil,’ a cheeky nod to the famous Whispering Angel wine. This summer release has quickly become a hit on social media, with shoppers eager to try it out.
Priced at just £13, Screaming Devil is about £10 cheaper than Whispering Angel, making it an attractive option for those looking for a quality rosé without breaking the bank. The wine comes from Provence and is packed with fruity notes like white peach, mango, and passionfruit, along with hints of rhubarb and citrus.
One user on X (formerly Twitter) described the wine as “violently iconic,” while another praised the bottle's design, saying, “I actually prefer the look of this one.” The wine's catchy name and appealing branding are drawing in new customers, with many planning to visit Asda specifically to pick up a bottle.
It’s not the first time a supermarket has launched a product reminiscent of a high-end brand. Aldi did something similar with its “Anti-Establishment” IPA, which was a clear nod to Brewdog’s Punk IPA.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: "This is a brilliant example of how supermarkets can create their own versions of popular products, offering customers fantastic value while adding a fun twist."
