- B&M to open six new stores from today until early May.

- The expansion is part of B&M's broader plan to open at least 45 new stores each year for the next two years.
B&M, the renowned discount retailer, is set to enhance its UK presence with the opening of six new stores starting from today. This development comes hot on the heels of the company's announcement of strong sales growth and a commitment to launch at least 45 new stores annually over the next two years.
James Flanders from The Sun revealed the locations and opening schedule for the new stores. Starting today, a brand new store on Abbey Walk in Selby welcomes shoppers. This will soon be followed by another opening on Frogmore Street in Abergavenny on April 19.
May will see a more significant expansion with four additional stores launching:
- Maidstone, Kent – May 2
- Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead – May 2
- Wood Green – May 4
- Great Malvern – May 4
These new stores are a part of B&M's aggressive growth strategy, which has included the acquisition of numerous locations from the now-defunct retailer Wilko. B&M's UK business alone has seen a substantial 8.5% increase in sales, totaling £4.4 billion during the last financial year.
Alex Russo, B&M's chief executive, stated, "The Group has performed well this year delivering strong operational execution. Our focus on everyday low prices, great product ranges, and operational excellence continues to generate profitable, cash-generating growth for our shareholders."
The strategic expansion aims not only to widen B&M’s market reach but also to provide numerous job opportunities across these new locations. As B&M continues its expansion, the retail landscape sees increased competition with other giants like Aldi and Asda also announcing significant store openings.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "B&M's continued expansion with new store openings across the UK is a testament to their strong business model and dedication to serving the needs of their customers with affordable products. This aggressive growth strategy is sure to keep B&M in a leading position in the discount retail market."
