Chocolate Fans Rejoice as Retro Strawberry Aero Bar Makes a Comeback
- Classic strawberry Aero bar reintroduced after decades
- Available at Spar in May, now in other stores
- Priced at £1.35 for a 90g sharing bar
Shoppers are ecstatic over the return of the strawberry-flavoured Aero bar, a nostalgic treat that hasn't been seen since the 1970s.
Nestlé relaunched the beloved chocolate bar earlier this year, initially stocking it exclusively at Spar stores in May. Now, the bar is available at various other retailers. Priced at £1.35 for a 90g sharing bar, the strawberry Aero is a hit among chocoholics who fondly remember it from their childhood.
One fan raved on social media, "Had this in the 70s, glad it’s back!" Another added, "They were my fave as a kid… stock up cos they will disappear again soon!" The Aero bar's unique combination of a smooth milk chocolate shell and bubbly strawberry-flavoured centre has won over new and old fans alike.
A spokesperson for Nestlé said, "The bar brings together a smooth milk chocolate shell with a melt-in-the-mouth bubbly strawberry flavour centre."
This release comes amidst a trend of chocolate brands reviving old favourites. Recently, Yorkie discontinued its orange bars, and fans are still campaigning for Rowntree’s Secret bar to make a comeback.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "It’s wonderful to see classic treats making a return. The joy it brings to people is truly special."
