Exciting New Sweets Arrive in UK Supermarkets Inc. Strawberry Sour Patch Kids

Sweet lovers in the UK have reason to celebrate as five new treats are hitting supermarket shelves, ranging from KitKats to M&Ms. These exciting new additions are sure to entice anyone with a sweet tooth.

Sour Patch Kids, known for their sour gummy sweets, are introducing a new Strawberry flavour to their lineup. Fans can purchase a 130g bag for £1.50. Cieran James, brand manager for Sour Patch Kids at Mondelēz International, stated, “The growth in this category means there is a real opportunity for an established and thriving brand like Sour Patch Kids to drive incremental sales for retailers by bringing insightful innovation to the confectionery fixture; and our new Strawberry flavour is set to do just that.”

Nestlé's KitKat is set to launch a limited-edition Chunky Crunchy Double bar, offering the classic crispy wafer coated in smooth milk chocolate, with an added crunch. Priced at 75p, these will be available in Sainsbury's and other stores from July 8. Torin Zieboll, assistant brand manager, said, “We’re super excited about this new limited edition KitKat Chunky bar because it does such a good job of combining a delicious taste with an exciting texture.”

Swizzels has expanded their Marvellous Mallows range to include Giant Raspberry and Milk Drumstick Mallows. Retailing at just 50p, these treats come in bite-sized pieces. Clare Newton, Swizzels trade marketing manager, commented, “We’ve noticed a growing trend among consumers who are rediscovering their appreciation for single confectionery items.”

Fox’s, beloved for their biscuits, are adding two new flavours to their Crunch Creams range: Cherry Bakewell and Salted Caramel. These limited-edition flavours are expected to attract new and loyal customers alike. Colin Taylor, trade marketing director, said, “We are modernising the Crunch Creams brand with different flavour profiles so that we can attract new shoppers to the category.”

Finally, M&M's is launching Minis in various sizes, including a party pack priced at £9.60. Sophia Padt, M&M’s senior brand manager, noted, “There is a huge appetite for M&M’S Minis.”
