Fans Demand Return of McVitie’s Iconic Club Fruit Bar
- McVitie’s fans want the return of the discontinued Club Fruit bar
- Club Fruit bar combined currants, biscuit, and milk chocolate
- Other flavours like orange, mint, and salted caramel are still available
- Calls for the bar’s return continue to gain traction on social media
Fans of McVitie’s are calling for the return of an iconic chocolate bar that was discontinued years ago. The Club Fruit bar, a beloved combination of currants, biscuit, and milk chocolate, was axed by McVitie’s a few years ago, but its memory still lingers in the hearts of many snack enthusiasts.
In a post on social media at the end of 2023, McVitie’s confirmed that the Club Fruit flavour was discontinued. However, other flavours such as orange, mint, and salted caramel remain available.
A recent post on a nostalgic snacks Facebook page reignited the conversation, expressing disappointment over the discontinuation. The post quickly garnered over 400 likes and nearly 100 comments, with many fans reminiscing about the snack and calling for its return. Comments included, “They were the best! Not sure why they stopped making them,” and, “Fruit Clubs really need to return.”
Reports suggest the Club Fruit bar was discontinued in 2021, and many are hopeful for its comeback. McVitie’s has been asked about the potential return of this favourite treat and any plans to bring it back to shelves.
This follows McVitie’s reintroduction of the white chocolate digestive after 20 years, and the return of Happy Faces biscuits, which were re-launched last year and have since been rolled out to more retailers.
