Last Chance for Free Crumpets at Morrisons in Warburtons Collaboration
- Limited Time Offer: Free crumpets available at Morrisons until April 14.
- Community Support: Initiative aims to help families during school holidays.
- Popular Campaign: Over 300,000 crumpets given away last year during holiday periods.
With only a few days remaining, Morrisons is urging customers to take advantage of a special offer providing free crumpets at its cafes nationwide. This initiative, running until April 14, is part of a collaboration with Warburtons, designed to support families during the financially straining school holiday period.
Summer Raemason at The Sun reported that to claim their free crumpets, shoppers simply need to "Ask for Ellen" at any Morrisons cafe. The campaign honors Ellen Warburton, co-founder of the bakery giant, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to community support, evidenced by their donation of over one million food items in the past year.
The offer coincides with Easter holidays, aligning with previous initiatives where Morrisons provided over 300,000 crumpet servings during school breaks. The promotion has been met with enthusiasm from the public. One delighted customer commented, “What a wonderful initiative, Warburtons and Morrisons! It’s great to see companies stepping up to support their communities in a meaningful way.” Another added, “We will be doing this!” emphasizing the positive reception.
The timing of this deal is critical as research indicates that over six million families face increased grocery bills during school holidays, with 82% of parents noting higher spending on snacks.
In addition to the crumpet giveaway, Morrisons continues to offer value through their "kids eat free" policy in the cafe when an adult meal of at least £4.50 is purchased. This deal also includes a choice of fruit and a Tropicana kid’s drink or bottled water for the accompanying child.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "Morrisons’ free crumpet offer is a prime example of how businesses can make a real difference in their communities, especially during challenging times like school holidays. It's initiatives like these that resonate well with consumers, combining practical help with a touch of sweetness."
