Lidl Expands Loyalty Scheme with Extra Discounts and BOGOF Deals
- Lidl introduces "Lidl Plus Offers" for extra discounts and free products.
- New deals include BOGOF offers and significant discounts on essentials.
- Offers are automatically applied when customers scan the Lidl Plus app at checkout.
Lidl has rolled out a major update to its loyalty scheme, bringing extra discounts and free products to its customers. With over 960 stores across the UK, the retailer's new "Lidl Plus Offers" feature promises to boost shoppers' savings effortlessly.
The new feature allows customers to access additional discounts by simply scanning their Lidl Plus app at the till. Unlike the personalized coupons that need to be activated, these new offers are automatically applied, making it even easier for customers to save money.
This week’s deals include four jam doughnuts for £1.20 (a 36p saving), buy one get one free on Freshona tinned peach slices, and nearly 30% off Formil laundry detergent. The discounted items will vary weekly, ranging from fresh produce to cupboard essentials.
Sam Walker at The Sun reported that this is not Lidl's first update to its app. Last July, Lidl revamped its Coupon Plus scheme, adding free bakery items and a 10% off incentive, which received positive feedback from customers. One shopper commented, “Great reward, also had a free bakery item. Feel guilty just going in just to get them.”
In addition to these app updates, Lidl is continuing its expansion across the UK, recently publishing a list of desired locations for new stores.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "Lidl’s new loyalty offers are a fantastic way for shoppers to save more without any extra effort. It's great to see such user-friendly features that directly benefit customers."
