Marmite Crisps Make a Crunchy Comeback at Morrisons
- Morrisons reintroduces Marmite crisp flavor to delight.
- Walkers previously discontinued the beloved Marmite crisps.
- New Marmite snacks to include Cheese & Marmite Puffs and Marmite Tortillas.
In an exciting turn of events for snack enthusiasts, Morrisons has announced the return of a beloved crisp flavor that had fans shouting from the rooftops. Starting from Monday 12th February, the supermarket giant has been restocking shelves with the much-missed Marmite crisps, much to the joy of its loyal customer base.
The buzz began with an Instagram post from New.foodfindsuk, revealing that Marmite crisps, previously discontinued by Walkers, were making a savory comeback. The post, which also mentioned having received a preview sample from Marmite, invited followers to keep an eye out for these treats at Morrisons. The reaction was immediate and enthusiastic, with one fan declaring Marmite "a god tier crisp flavor."
This resurgence comes after Walkers decided to discontinue the unique Marmite flavor, a move that left many fans disheartened. A spokesperson from Walkers expressed regret over disappointing Marmite crisp lovers but explained the decision was made to focus on other popular flavors.
However, Marmite wasn't ready to say goodbye to its crisp fans. In collaboration with Tayto Group, it has launched not only the classic Marmite Crisps but also a range of flavored products including Cheese & Marmite Puffs and Marmite Tortillas, set to hit grocery and convenience channels in April. Additionally, Marmite enthusiasts can look forward to cheddar cheese and Marmite bites, as well as oven-baked Marmite cashews available on Ocado.
Summer Raemason at The Sun covered the story, highlighting the fervent response from the Marmite community, eagerly anticipating the return of their favorite snack.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "The return of Marmite crisps to Morrisons is a win for snack lovers everywhere, showcasing the power of consumer demand. It's fascinating to see such a strong, divided opinion over a flavor, but it's clear that Marmite holds a special place in the hearts (and taste buds) of many. This revival might just introduce a new generation to the iconic taste of Marmite."
