Last Chance To Stock Up on Stamps Before Price Hike
- First-class stamp prices will increase by 30p to £1.65 on October 7th
- Money-saving expert Martin Lewis advises buying now, as they remain valid post-hike
- Second-class stamps remain unchanged at 85p
It's your last chance to stock up on first-class stamps before next Monday, October 7th, when the price is set to rise by 30p to £1.65. The hike marks a 22% increase, making it the second rise this year. Buy now, as non-denominated stamps will still be valid at the new higher rate.
Handy in the run up to Christmas, if you're planning on sending cards and need stamps, get them now before the price hike.
Beware though of buying fake stamps. Make sure you purchase them from reputable high street stores or directly from Royal Mail’s online shop.
This increase follows a previous rise in April, and while second-class stamps remain at 85p until 2029, first-class customers will need to brace themselves for the higher costs.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: “Stamps may seem like a small expense, but these price hikes can add up quickly. Stocking up now is a smart move for those who regularly send letters or cards.
