Morrisons Rolls Out New Online Travel Money Service Just in Time for Summer
- Morrisons partners with Eurochange to launch a new online currency exchange service
- Customers can order online and pick up currency in-store or have it delivered
- Service offers competitive rates on over 50 different currencies
As summer travel plans heat up, Morrisons has introduced a convenient new feature for holiday-goers: an online travel money service developed in partnership with Eurochange. This new service allows customers to order foreign currency online and choose between home delivery or in-store pickup at one of Morrisons' Travel Money kiosks.
Currently, Morrisons has about 50 dedicated Travel Money kiosks across the UK in locations including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Sheffield, among others. For those who prefer picking up their currency while on the go, options are also available at over 240 Eurochange branches nationwide.
Jamie Winter, Morrisons' Director of Procurement, Popular & Useful Services & Energy, highlighted the benefits of the new service, stating, "Morrisons Travel Money with Eurochange will provide our customers with easy access to a wide range of currencies at competitive exchange rates. Whether they are headed to Europe, the USA, or further afield, our customers can now lock in their rates by ordering online and then pick up their travel money, along with their sun cream and holiday essentials, from our stores."
Ordering through the Morrisons Travel Money website is straightforward. Customers can use a currency converter to choose from over 50 currencies, including Euros, US Dollars, and Turkish Lira, add their selection to a shopping cart, and complete the transaction online. The service offers a minimum order value of £200 and a maximum of £2,500. For added convenience, click and collect orders can be ready in as little as 60 seconds, depending on availability, and home deliveries are possible the next working day if ordered by 2:30 pm.
Morrisons is not alone in offering travel money services; other supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and M&S also provide similar services, each with unique features and benefits tailored to their customers.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "The introduction of an online travel money service by Morrisons is a timely addition that caters to the needs of summer travelers looking for convenience and competitive rates. It's a smart move that enhances the shopping experience by merging everyday grocery shopping with essential travel preparations."
