Marks & Spencer has quietly discontinued its beloved Connie the Caterpillar sweets, much to the disappointment of fans. Known for the famous caterpillar cakes, both Colin and Connie characters had their own range of sweets, which were highly popular among shoppers.

As reported by Emma Lake, M&S has phased out the last of Connie's sweets as part of a broader confectionery relaunch, which simultaneously introduced new Colin-themed products. The decision leaves Connie enthusiasts saddened, especially as the new range now includes at least 10 different Colin sweets, but none featuring Connie.

In response to the outcry, an M&S spokesperson stated that while Connie's sweets have been discontinued, the retailer remains committed to the character and plans to reintroduce her in future product launches. M&S reassured fans, highlighting the introduction of new Colin Party Time sweets and reaffirming Connie's presence in seasonal campaigns.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "It's always a shame when a favourite product is discontinued, but it's encouraging to hear that Connie may return in future M&S launches."
