They aren't really free when its a subscription service its just part of that subscription. Epic games on PC is a free service with weekly free games which of course you always have access to as there is no subscription where as as soon as you pause playstation plus you no longer have access to those games. Game services like Epic and Steam also offer free online gaming functionality. Playstation plus essential I think is 50 pounds a year and the premium service 100 pounds. I do have a playstation 4 but do not subscribe to playstation plus and the same situation with xbox, I have the older One model but just buy games on disc, play them and sell them on. For online gaming I use PC and android. These services add up a lot. If you have a the playstation plus premium service that is 500 pounds over 5 years, a significant chunk of money which would buy a decent enough PC for gaming.
