Tesco Launches Premium Meal Deal With Fresh Baguettes To Rival Pret

TESCO's upping its game. Launching a fresh sandwich range at 170 stores, this supermarket giant is looking to compete head-to-head with the pricier Pret a Manger and its offerings.

Lynsey Barber at The Sun reported that these five freshly-made baguette flavours are part of Tesco’s “Premium” meal deal. Here’s the tasty deal: grab a baguette, a drink, and a snack for just £5 with your Clubcard or £5.50 without.

Everyone remembers Pret's baguettes which set you back a whopping £7.15 Dubbed ‘Britain’s worst-value baguette’, Tesco's deal is a real steal in comparison. You save up to £2.15 and even get an added drink and snack! Take your pick from mouth-watering fillings like Mozzarella, tomato and basil pesto, or Wiltshire ham, cheddar and dijon mustard, among others.

Violaine Barthe, Tesco’s brand manager, chimed in, “With a main, snack, and drink in our Premium meal deal at just £5 for Clubcard members, lunchtime indulgence doesn't mean emptying your pockets.”
