Thousands of Households Could Be Missing Out on £150 Payment for Energy Bills
- Park Homes Warm Home Discount scheme offers £150 cash boost for mobile home residents
- Applications opened on October 2, operated by charity group Charis Grants
- Aimed at those without a direct account with an energy supplier
Thousands of households living in mobile homes may be missing out on a £150 one-off payment to help with their energy bills this winter. The Park Homes Warm Home Discount scheme is designed for residents who don’t qualify for the traditional Warm Home Discount due to not having a direct energy account.
Charis Grants, the charity managing the scheme, began accepting applications on October 2nd. Unlike the standard Warm Home Discount, which is automatically applied for certain benefit recipients in England and Wales, this fund specifically targets those living in park homes—often elderly or retired individuals on restricted incomes.
Jonathan Hunt, director of Charis Grants, said: “People living in park homes have historically missed out on much-needed financial support. The importance of the scheme to these households cannot be overstated.
