TSB Customers Fume as Banking App Goes Down on Payday

  • Over 2,100 reports of issues with TSB’s banking app and website
  • Customers unable to access accounts, pay bills, or make payments
  • TSB acknowledges the problem, saying they are working to fix it

TSB customers have been left frustrated and unable to manage their finances as the bank’s mobile app and internet banking platform experienced widespread outages. Down Detector, which tracks site outages, recorded over 2,100 reports, with issues starting as early as 8am.

Many customers have taken to social media to vent their anger, especially as the glitch has occurred on payday for many. One customer wrote: “Well done @TSB on my pay day of all days when I need to pay all my bills, I can’t. Because you’ve decided to mess about with the app and I can’t approve payments. Cheers.”

TSB responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating: “We’re sorry that some of our customers are facing problems accessing our services this morning. Our teams are working to resolve this.”

The disruption is affecting both the mobile app and the internet banking portal, leaving customers locked out of their accounts, unable to view balances, and struggling to make payments. One user added: “Still not working today, same problem as everyone else has posted here, cannot log in to Internet banking website using browser.”

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: “TSB, again!? This is the last thing anyone needs on a payday. It’s frustrating when you rely on your bank for essential transactions and can’t access your money when you need it most."
