Walkers Cuts Popular Snack, Leaving Parents and Kids Disappointed

  • Walkers discontinues black pepper & sea salt Snack a Jacks.
  • Parents and kids express disappointment online.
  • Other flavours from the Snack a Jacks line remain available.

Walkers has officially discontinued its black pepper & sea salt Snack a Jacks, much to the dismay of parents and children alike. Fans of the low-calorie rice cakes took to social media to voice their disappointment, with one parent sharing that their toddler loved the snack. Another fan declared it the "supreme rice cake," perfect with chicken soup.

The flavour, introduced in summer 2022 alongside sizzlin’ barbecue and sour cream and chive, has now vanished from supermarket shelves. Despite positive reviews, the snack giant decided to pull the product, leaving only the other two flavours available.

As Walkers continues to refine its product offerings, fans are left wondering which snack might be next on the chopping block. The company has a history of retiring flavours that underperform, as seen earlier this year when the mild cheese Wotsits and Walkers Stax were also axed.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: "It's always disappointing when a favourite snack disappears, but it also opens up opportunities to discover new treats."
