Abbas Bjorn Ulvaeus Proved Wrong about His Eurovision Conspiracy Theory

In the News

Bjorn has always claimed that the UK were voting tactfully to try to stop them winning the Eurovision song contest in 1974

Now one of the judges has put the record straight

Basil Herwald has told Ulvaeus that four other countries also gave Sweden zero points, despite Waterloo going on to win

Those countries were Greece, Monaco, Belgium and Italy.

He also said Abba had the least points out of all Eurovision winners

Now someone needs to look into all the times the UK were given 'nul points' by other EU countries over the years

Surely it wasn't political voting ?

I have very little doubt that there is some house prejudice all over Europe. It certainly won't get any better after Brexit either .Somewhat coincidentally I was reading earlier about Frida Lyngstag from Abba. She was one of the War Children or Lebensborn and had a German father and Norwegian mother.

MelissaLee1 That's interesting M

There was also a documentary on tv last year or possibly earlier about Agnetha Faltskog

She became a recluse and at one point was stalked in her own home, fascinating

I simply can not believe that! Although Bjorn is Swedish his English is better than many native English speakers - and I am almost certain he would not have used the word "tactfully" in such a way.

I used to absolutely love watching Eurovision but over the years it has become very political and has taken the fun out of it.

eyeballkerry Yeah, it has become one of the worst music shows instead. Not that it was ever that good, anyway.

Except this time when they focused on quality music:

Fast forward to 2018 and you get this...
