What Christmas Games Do You Play?
Ask a Question
Most of my family are older now but for all ages? We play guess who, a short quiz and one year a gift swap roll dice game but I can’t remember how to play that one. How do you keep amused when all are fed and gifts are received and opened?
We do an adult pass the parcel, although this year with all the prizes it has become pass the boulder because the biggest prize (size wise too!) is the middle one. I was hoping to get some green wrapping paper to make it look like a huge sprout!
One year my daughter(28) turned up with Cards against Disney from Cards against Humanity. Not really a family game, if you know it. We had my 83 year old mother playing. It was a laugh.
Bit old for games now and sadly just me and mum this Christmas .I seem to recall playing Trivial Pursuits a lot when it first came out that and pass the Sherry or Port lol.
Only games we play are whatever my son's get for Christmas for their Xbox lol, we not a traditional games family
Usually just whatever game my niece has had for Christmas that year. Can’t say as a family we’ve ever really had any Christmas game traditions, but it’s not too late to start
I tend to play more videogames around Christmas but don't really do board games anymore. As a child we did the Monopoly, Cluedo and Scrabble type games. I also seem to remember playing top trumps a lot which was typically military planes or cars. Even now I remember the BOAC Lightning fighter jet was the card to have as not much if anything beat it for top speed back then or was it maximum operational height which I think was also very good.
It’s funny as my mother in law was showing me a game this afternoon of people placing a potato in between there legs to plop in a bucket. Looks like a funny game and we’re going to play it at Christmas haha
I’m getting a Reindeer Antler Ring Toss game as my 5 year old really enjoyed playing that at her Auntie’s house last year. Luckily it’s cheap and cheerful.
We don't play games at Christmas. After we are all fed we sit on the sofa and watch TV. Even when I was young we never played games at Christmas, just not something we do.
we play this with the grand kids pass the parcel pin the nose on santa sleeping lions one year 1 of them fell asleep ping pong into cups for prizes
