MelissaLee1 fantastic comment! Many couples have things like a “Date Night” to fight any boredom. Some couples have date night together too, lol.
There’s a lot of craft classes around so something like mosaics or glass blowing im always interested in
TheChimp In the corner.Hands on yer head laddie.100 lines and three weeks detention.
There's things you could do that won't cost anything such as walks in the countryside if that's something you think you'd enjoy, get close to nature, loose yourself in your thoughts or even find you talk about all sorts of things together.
Go for walks, go to museums, go to dinner out occasionally if there are offers on. We went to Toby Carvery with groupon voucher. Do puzzles together. Sometimes there is 2 for 1 offers with rail ticket. My sister and her husband went to Kew Gardens. If no rail strike. In the past we did Tower of London on Clubcard. There are ways of finding things to do.
Make your weekends like date nights, go to the cinema. Maybe a trip on Eurostar or a cheap Eastern European destination.
Have you looked on Pinterest?
You can search for 'Date nights'
'Date night indoors'

Loads of ideas and lists will pop up.
Here is one with some good ideas:
If you want to plan that you want to do something but you want to be a bit spontaneous (as some people need some sort of structure but also excitement.) You could always write them on pieces of paper and put them in a jar/hat and one of you could choose, can take it in turns or choose two options... see if you can make them both work that night or one could be what you are going to eat and the other the activity.
You could even have 2 jars:
one for free activities, one for those that might cost a bit more or need a bit more planning.
OR
one for indoor (too tired to socialise days) and one for going out.
Look at local groups, local events (there are often meet up groups, board game groups, quiz nights etc.)
See if there are any deals on 'home kits' something like a full home movie night, snuggles, blanket and popcorn and do a hand mould kit. Even a 'body art kit' where you can paint body parts either on each other or then 'fool around' whilst being covered in paint onto a canvas and make some unique personal artwork.
I mean it depends on what you are wanting to do and what your relationship is like, we all have different things.
I'm more of a crime series women, a nice meal or takeaway and some video/board games and an evening walk.
My husband and I use airbnb experiences for thing to do in our local area or when we are away. I know there's a cost involved but it's amazing the different things there are to do. Plus if you do say cooking class and you enjoy it, it gives you ideas for cooking new foods at home or we did a whisky tasting and made some new friends who we now do date nights with.
Some great deals on virgin experience site at the mo - sale prices and a site wide extra 20% off
We catch the local train to London when there are reasonably priced tickets. We go round Borough or Camden Market. If Borough we walk along the river to south bank then to Covent garden have a wonder round there, walk past the Ritz then catch the tube back to Euston. It's a great day. We have done Brick Lane, Shoreditch and some others. Greenwich is on my list to do.
Any spare time we have we go walking with the dog, bit cold at the moment though, we went yesterday, I was frozen lol
Movie night but instead choose themes with movie and snacks
Board games
Axe throwing with meal think saw it for like £40 or something
Bowling or arcade and meal
Ice skating
That’s for all the ideas I’ll defo see what o can surprise my husband with he really is the love of my life and my best friend
Simply go to any nearby park and don't keep any mobile or any gadgets with you. See each other's eyes for sometimes
These are some of the things we did when I made a special effort to plan dates. I managed to find coupons to save money on them too:
- indoor rock climbing
- went out for sushi (or whatever cuisine you find new/exciting)
- afternoon tea
We do things like Geocaching. Though I'm at the point we've done all the ones where we are. Good excuse to go on holiday though
My husband and I are fortunate that we are both retired and can travel when we want. We have different interests which is great as we encourage each other. I love walking and my husband can see the benefits now.
