How to Find the Best Argos Deals? (Bonus Points Available)

Latest Deals

👋 Hey Deal Hunters!

How can I find the best deals at Argos?

  • Are there any tools that show Argos price history?
  • How can you see what's cheapest at Argos? (i.e. cheaper than other shops)
  • What's the best way to compare prices against Argos?
  • Where on Argos website are the best deals?
  • How can you tell if an Argos deal is genuinely good?
  • Any other Argos good tools?

I'm happy to give a bonus of points to any helpful comments.

This year I want to focus on finding good deals from a wider range of shops. We have many processes for Amazon deals partly because there are tons of tools we can use to make sure it's genuinely good. It's harder with smaller shops. So starting with Argos!

Any helpful tips, tricks, and tools appreciated. I'll keep you updated with progress!

From what I've been doing on argos. I've found it's best to head for their clearance page, you can usually get some good bargains: www.argos.co.uk/events/clearance?clickOrigin=header%3Aevents%3Aclearance

Also, use the postcode checker before shopping, and it applies to all. Saving you from having to check if it's OOS.

They also occasionally add vouchercodes to this page www.argos.co.uk/events/voucher-discount-codes

Also, check money off bundles. www.argos.co.uk/product/3900468?clickSR=slp%3Aterm%3Ahasbro%3A1%3A32%3A1 Sometimes you can get like 3 months apple tv when you buy something etc.

Finally check your nectar app for bonus points which could be converted to other stuff.

Hope that's useful 😀

The only way to know if an item is good value is to "know the value " of that item by comparing different retailers . Original selling price or "was" , especially on Amazon is a total red herring . The price history charts are helpful but members have to look at those charts 🙄🤔.

I see it everyday eg slippers £6.99 were £28.99 , similar to many posted each and every day for £5 - £9 as the price chart showed . Still a member commented "great price especially with £20 off " 🙄!

We rightly moan about the price of energy , groceries etc and do all we can to save a few pennies , but chinese "tat" on Amazon and EBay seems exempt from our common sense . Scroll through the Amazon pages and it is difficult to find anything NOT reduced and mostly from an unbelievable original selling price . Always check EBay as the same items are often all around the same price and usually cheaper than Amazon .

As mentioned always use the postcode checker on Argos ,especially for "clearance items " where delivery is rarely available and probably 2 in stock nationwide (1 in Truro the other in Inverness !) .

More specific to Argos (who are owned by Sainsburys ) certain things are often cheaper from Sainsburys themselves . Nectar points can be spent at Argos . There are a few Argos outlet stores around the country usually selling end of range stuff off cheap - Corby , Darlington , Stanley just 3 I know of .

Research what you are looking for and compare prices over a period of time . Much of the stuff that you might buy from Argos (particularly Consumer electrics and electronics ) is also sold by Currys , John Lewis , Homebase , AO , Hughes etc . Worthwhile remembering Hughes, AO and Currys have EBay stores which can be very attractive when a 15% -20% selected seller EBay code is around (normally 2 or 3 times a month ) .

Also be aware of "trends" Airfryers and electric blankets have virtually doubled in price over the last 6 months , due to demand and supply shortages . Trust me their prices will drop by 30% + over the next month or two as supply catches up (remember the price of printers ?) .

Be aware of Global trends , after 2 years of skyrocketing container prices (the things on ships that bring consumer goods from the Far East ) they have now halved in the last 2 months . Therefore expect no more inflation in large white goods or furniture and probably price drops .

That's part of your basic armoury in finding great deals , Know the "real value " of what you are buying then a great deal will stick out like a sore thumb .
