Can You Really Get a Free Burger on Your Birthday with Burger King's App?

Today is my birthday 
so I have been getting emails of free treats 
and just got this email from burger 
king, has anyone gotten one before, does it work? When I first got the app I had 100 points and tried to get the free cheese burger but they said no
Ooh I don’t know. Haven’t been to Burger King in years and don’t have app. Wishing you a very happy birthday

I have the app but have never had a free burger for my birthday. A while back there was a promotion for a free burger and my husband and I took advantage of that one.
eyeballkerry yeah I had that too but wouldn’t let me get it saying have to buy something first which it doesn’t say you need to on the app

eyeballkerry...My partner doesn't like being at home on his birthday either, his is August so he was in his hometown Portadown, Northern Ireland having a birthday meal watching his adopted team Sheffield Wednesday on his phone because I gave him & our daughter permission to watch their team. Daughter & I treated him to a gorgeous meal at Maisie's Restaurant ..
Our daughter treated her Da to a Football Match to watch his hometown team Portadown who they both follow..I treated him to a Portadown Shirt as part of his presents.
I also bought a Gin & Lemonade & a pint of Lager at The Ports Club for my partner & I £14.70!!
Daughter wanted her cup of Tae & paid £2 from the van serving drinks inside the ground..
janphoenix51 That sounds really nice what you did for him. I have to be out of the country for my birthday. This year I will on a cruise and on my birthday will be in Fuerteventura.

On my birthday & on my partner 's birthday we got the offer where if one person buys a course the birthday person gets theirs FREE so my three course meal cost me NOTHING, you have 4 weeks to book & use the Email Voucher.
We didn't bother going there for my partner 's birthday as we were in Northern Ireland & ate out a few times including his birthday meal..

I hardly go to Burger King except for special promotions. I only log in now, so I am hoping you have had an enjoyable day earlier.
It definitely works because I picked one up and gave it to my husband last year. I didn’t get round to picking one up this year and I don’t remember how you do it, but I’m sure if you went in and asked they’d be able to help you. Also I think you can only get the quite basic ones as far as I remember.
Karen331 Is that so, thanks for sharing this information. Yeah last time i tried using the points I got when I first got the app and wasn’t able to get anything. Stupid person kept asking to see the app and then the offer as she didn’t believe me 
Would have been easier to click and collect but stupid app didn’t have that option for the store I chose so pointless 
I might stick the burger king app on my phone and see what happens as my birthday is a month away.

kitty88uk Well after installing the app I see I had a free whopper if I buy a £3 item or more. So I had some cheesy chips today and a whopper for £3.79. No way would I pay the normal price for a whopper but was very pleased with my purchase for £3.79 and hoping for a free birthday whopper too. Hopefully no one from the dieting thread sees this post.
BonzoBanana is that so, how much is the original price for a whopper burger and cheesy chips

kitty88uk I've forgotten but it was something ridiculous like 6.99 or even 7.99 and the cheesy chips were 3.79 so I just paid the 3.79. I was going to get some slightly cheaper fries but changed my mind when I ordered. Complete rip off pricing but very good value with both for 3.79 but terrible value at over £10 for both. On one day of the week unless the offer is changed you could get two burger meals in hungry horse with chips and peas etc for something like £7-8 for both and to be honest they are much nicer burgers and they are served to you plus there is free ketchup, mayonnaise etc as you want it. No way would I pay normal Burger King prices yet the Yeovil Burger King was packed with people on Friday at roughly mid-day. My last purchase from Burger King was probably 30 years ago I think but did have a cheap McDonalds a few years ago like a £1 for a cheeseburger and to be honest I think the Burger King burger is nicer than a McDonald's burger but there isn't much in it. I have to say the cheese on the fries was a very low quality processed cheese but still tasty.
I can make a much nicer burger at home for much less money and really anyone can do that as it takes no skill to cook a burger etc. Happy to exploit Burger King for a free birthday burger though if I get the offer. Maybe my frequency of Burger King burgers will increase from one every 30 years to one every year?
BonzoBanana damn ridiculous for a burger! Pfft and for cheesy chips too! Yeah better to cook and make it yourself much cheaper!
kitty88uk I had my free Greggs birthday dessert today and the last Octoplus free coffee. That expires on the 13 or 14th so unless they continue the deal that free coffee comes to an end. Anyway the free burger has appeared on the Burger King app but it says something about the manager having to approve it (which sounds annoying) but I will chance it. Probably get it next Friday as I don't think I'll be in town before then. I don't think there is any choice of burger though which sounds like there was in the past.

I don’t have any Burger King restaurants near me, they went years ago I do miss the flame grill taste. However I do have McDonald’s App and just used half birthday burgers/ sandwich n medium fries for £2.49. Just add to order, I collected so etc. hopefully similar hope you had a lovely jubbly birthday x
LL81 used to go to Burger King and McDonald’s when they had those £1.99 meal deal burger and chips vouchers on back of bus tickets great bargain price!

It's our daughter 's 26th birthday on Monday so she's probably getting a few offers including a free slice if Costa cake..Costa n a slice of their cake are one of her favourite treats.
