Is There a Lot of Litter in Your Area?
Ask a Question
Do you think there is a litter problem in your area? I heard that on average per km of pavement, there are 41 pieces of litter which is crazy!
It's shocking in our area especially the closer to McDonald's that you get. They should put barcodes on the bags and link them to the car that used the drive thru.
The locals do litter picks every so often and it's surprising how much rubbish that's collected.
In the village where I live it is pretty clean of litter, the only issue I have is dog bins. They are only supplied on one side of the village, no idea why.
eyeballkerry Thankfully we have quite a few dog waste bins which means there is less around (compare to the area I moved from last year that was covered in dog mess and zero dog waste bins)
Yes loads of rubbish. Seems like the council don't care anymore. I know people should put litter in bins but I've often seen overflowing bins the council have not emptied.
Yes loads of little in my area its a disgrace people should be lifting in the council don't care its embarrassing
There was quite a lot of litter in the area that I live but a group of people got together and they now go around litter picking voluntarily, they do a great job.
Not too bad here but then we do have a couple of people who regularly go along collecting the rubbish for us, they keep our village looking lovely.
You can blame local councils, cut backs after cut backs, our area has it's own clean up crew of litter volunteers
Yes i lve next to a cycle path, it seems to act like a wind tunnel, pushing all the litter into the bramble bushes at the end, I go out and litter pick the bush regularly, it's usually worse when its bin day
