Mail Order Pies. Have You Tried Any?
Ask a Question
I keep on getting ads for pies on my FB. I really want to treat me and MrsChimp to some, but there are quite a few companies out there and all have varying reviews.
Does anyone have any experience with buying decent pies?
I used to get pies by post from Lochinver Pies - choice was amazing and they were really yummy but not cheap. www.piesbypost.co.uk/collections/all
lilyflower Cor blimey! £6.95 for a small pie, a minimum of 12, plus postage!
MrsChimp would batter me if I ordered them
TheChimp I said they weren't cheap, but they are stuffed full and one used to do two of us with chips and veg A battered chimp pie - something new?
Yorkshire handmade pies are delicious. Meat & vegetarian options available. Well packaged.
emmabeckz do you know what their charges are for delivery? I can't seem to find it on their website. But all I can smell now is meat pies, that's bleedin covid for you!!!
BenCartwright it says £21.90 minimum order (bit random!) and £6.25 delivery hope that Helps
I wouldn't be surprised if they are repacking Asda or Lidl pies and calling theirs handmade. I do not trust self employed mail order food business because they answer to no one and nobody can proof their food is really hand made with the freshest ingredients as claimed. Whereas factory produced can be traced to their original suppliers.
The family on tv the UKS BIGGEST - the RADFORDS? He has a pie shop and does delivery’s and they’re award winning I think, you’d also hope since he has 23 kids he’d understand todays pressures and not over charge - worth a nose anyway
I have used Wilfred's Pies for over a year and love their deep filled meat, chicken or veg pie with gravy or sauce. They are £4 each with minimum order of 4 but are freezable. If you order £35, delivery is free. Highly recommended. So tasty.
