M&S Food

Ask a Question

I’ve always thought M&S to be more expensive than the usual supermarkets, how wrong was I?

I forgot to add Bran Flakes to my delivery tomorrow so while out collecting an M&S sale order I went to the food hall. Picked up my cereal for just 75p a box. It’s ssooo much cheaper in M&S.

What everyday food have you found cheaper in M&S?

There are a number of things cheaper in m&s (forget what tho) but again a huge amount more expensive. I think for the most part m&s food tastes better although not as good as it once was so a bit disappointed recently

I am going to do a food shop in Marks & Spencer on Monday. Buying their "middle price" range of food.

jam45 usually I order M&S food via Ocado if they send me an offer. Last time it was 20% off whole order.

MelissaLee1 Thank you. My all time favourite soup is Heinz tomato but I’ll happily try your recommendations.

We got a gift voucher for M&S for Christmas so decided to buy some food with it. We bought the sort of things we would normally buy and it was definitely much more expensive. The value range that they do is good value and yellow sticker reductions are always good. In my opinion there is a lot more that is more expensive than there is that's cheaper.

My hubby loves the chicken soup in M&S, said tastes better than branded. Shop quite a bit in the store and find it’s similar prices to Asda and such now.

loooo666 I find Waitrose the most expensive for fruit and meat but it’s always top quality.

Pjran I was surprised to read recently that Waitrose is more expensive than M&S for food and to be honest a recent visit to M&S just after Christmas showed a reasonable selection of well priced food and I personally think the quality of M&S overall is much better than Waitrose. I don't go to M&S very often but when I do its hunting for reductions and I've bought some fantastic quality food there which I feel is better than the big brand alternatives.

BonzoBanana I hope you find lots of reduced food in M&S that you can freeze rather than eating all the same day. Didn’t see any reductions this afternoon.

Pjran I agree with you Pjran. Sainsburys is also first class. You get what you pay (usually).

I popped into Marks before Xmas as hadn't been for quite some time, for me personally I couldn't beleive how expensive things were in there, maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Walked out without buying a thing.
