What is everyone planning on picking up in the January sales?

I haven't planned on picking anything up as don't actually need anything, but always love having a look around the sales, usually pick up reduced wrapping paper, cards or gifts I can use throughout the year for Birthday's. 
What are you looking for?
I am going to try not to buy anything in the sales, maybe some food items if they have a good shelf life. I normally buy lots of gifts ready for birthday presents etc, but as I have to post them, it ends up being a false economy. I don't need anything and I need to start being more careful about spending, in preparation for the next energy price increase.
beccatavender this is true. I do hope by end of next year energy priced become stable.
All of next year's wrapping paper, gift bags and anything else to make next Christmas a bit less of a financial burden......but I will not buy if I don't need.
vixe80 I bought really bargain wrapping paper just after Christmas, it is still going strong after four years. The kids sigh "is that bloomin paper still not used up yet?" Next Christmas it may finally be gone. Then time to look for another bargain lot.
vixe80 Auntielettie lol, I had to walk away from 25p Xmas wrapping paper today because it just wasn't that nice. My head said bargain and my heart said but it's not nice! Lol
I was shopping online this morning in bed on the M&S site and bought 3 things I don’t need but they were bargains 
Looking for a new TV.
My eyes are getting worse, so I'm thinking about upgrading to a bigger and better definition one. Don't think it would help though.

vixe80 I went to Primark today and brought 2 men's top - A green top with a collar £5 (was £10), Los Angeles top £7 (was £10), ladies blouse £6 (was £11). Poundshop: Pep&Co nightshirt £6 (was £10); Festive Pet Blanket £1.75 (half price); snow blanket x 2 £1 (half price each); paper straw x 2 £1 (half price each). Asda 1/2 price: Extra Special brandy-soaked iced fruit cake £2.50; Extra Special 6 Luxury mince pies £1.25; Cadbury Cake Bars 0.62p. Tomorrow I am going to M&S for slippers and Clarks/Pavers for shoes.

I'm a barefooter lol but put socks on every once in a while when me tootsies get cold. They never stay on long though. I do own slippers but they just live lonely in the corner poor things!
Have a few birthdays in January (mine, my mum and my kids turn 18) so will be seeing what’s available. May even start early for Xmas 23 whilst at it.
We went to town today to have a look, the only thing we bought was a reduced calender. There wasn't much in the sales worth buying.
Not really seen anything what's really really cheap and if you do find something normally it is not in stock. 
I am trying to avoid the sales. I don’t need any more stuff but if I saw a bargain I would probably purchase.
eyeballkerry that's a very sensible plan, I too find it hard to resist however seem to find things online too!

Already got a few bits in the sales. Ive bought myself a few things in Lush from the 50% off Christmas Sale. Ive also bought 5 pack of lindt chocolate for almost half price which will go down well at my house and in date until June.

I've been searching for an ottoman bed with a solid base, it's taken days but I've finally found one at a good price that I like. Now I just need to find a mattress.
Midnightflower I have been searching for one too with a solid base. They are so expensive, do you mind sharing link of where you found one for a good price.

vixe80 did you ever find a bed? our new one arrived today, I'm impressed with the quality and it was easy to build so will certainly consider buying from them again.
I went to Deichmann shoes shop and brought a pair of shoes for half price £14.99 and several items from Poundland for 50pence each.
