Would You Pay for Someone to Decorate Your Tree?
Ask a Question
Would you pay for someone to decorate your Christmas Tree for you?
I've just learnt that this is a thing I guess there is a business for everything!
martinlufc5637 my friend paid someone £150 to have hers done lol because she had loads to put on it and didn't have the time to do it
Leannexxx £150 that's a lot hmm now if anyone needs any help with their theirs
Nadiaparveen honestly if you can get paid for it why wouldn't you do it? Lol the woman was at her house for 3 hours doing her tree that's how much she had and everything was done very nice but I wouldn't pay anyone to do mine
martinlufc5637 Some people aren't physically able to and others maybe just done have the time? I did see someone comment on a post about it that they had 6(!) Christmas trees in a big house to do.
No definitely NOT. It Is not rocket science to decorate a tree. What Is wrong with people nowadays.
Emerge11 If money was no object, and you lived in a really big house with a really big tree, would that change your mind?
SamGoodship No, I got a big tree now anyways as I live In an old Victorian Building with high ceilings.
I got someone's out from cupboard behind full wardrobe for minimum wage. Will be decorating some too. I'm definitely in wrong line of work
I wouldn't pay anyone to decorate mine. I would understand if you lived in a mansion and had loads of trees to decorate but otherwise no.
No! It’s all part of Christmas doing the decorations and they wouldn’t do it right anyway.
I guess it’s a service for rich people. Would never pay personally but if i was earning a lot of money then it would kind of make sense as it can take a while to do and could probably earn more in that time working
I just leave it to the kids… they do it for free and love doing it so what if there’s 5 baubles on one brach ?
No way.I love doing my own tree. Now days people pay people to have babies for them even when capable.World gone mad.
No!!! I can't stand anyone touching my tree I have a 7ft fat tree with twinkling white lights decorated in ceramic red pillar & phone boxes, wooden hearts some with tartan heart's in the middle some with deer in white glitter & some with the names of family & friends who are no longer with us written in calligraphy writing in white glitter, 40 tiny ceramic cherubs & 40 metal bells in red & gold, wicker woven angel wings with lights in it for my tree topper & red & gold tartan ribbon wrapped round from top to bottom. Even the dog walks the long way round the living room to get past
Although I wouldn't pay anyone to do my tree I wouldn't mind being paid to decorate other people's tree. I worked in Jenner's in Edinburgh over 20 years ago now & I done one of their Christmas window displays once & I also done a Christmas display in IKEA Edinburgh when I was at college doing interior design. I never got paid for either of them but I didn't mind it was just really nice to walk into the shop or pass the window & see my creations on display although I think my gran stood in Prince's street for a whole week pointing at Jenner's window & telling everyone that passed that her granddaughter designed & decorated it x
fifehoney Ahhh Jenners that's where I discovered the devine C**k of the North whisky liquor on a weekend visit. We had a week there last March went to Jenners only to find it's no longer open. I was very disappointed, it was a lovely store.
Yeah it went on fire last year I think it was I could spend all day in Jenner's looking at all the lovely things, getting my makeup done, up to the top floor to get my hair done & back down for another look incase I missed anything until they kicked me out at closing i moved away from Edinburgh about 15 years ago so had only been in Jenner's a hand full of times since I left but when I did go it was an all day event from opening till closing
Pfft seriously?!! What a waste of money paying someone else to decorate Christmas yeah if you are rich
Every year I have to decorate my parents house. Mum loves all the Xmas tat. I would pay someone to do it if I could. Takes me a week to put everything up. It’s so time wasting having to put batteries in everything or untangling everything. Doesn’t matter how neat and tidy things have been put away every year is the same. If it was left to me it would just be a tree
I wouldn't contemplate paying someone else to put my tree up, perhaps I am a bit to pernickety as I like it done my way and would have to re-do it afterwards
No, I would not but I would like to be paid to do others, I quite enjoy putting up trees and doing all the decorations, I just don’t like Christmas Day.
eyeballkerry yeah me too I like the build up, the decorations & all that but Christmas day can be a nightmare thankfully there are only 9/10 of us this year but I got the short straw the year before lockdown we done Christmas dinner at ours for 23 & 2 dogs it was a very long day xx
I wouldn't let anyone dress my tree even if it was for free, it is something that I look forward to doing and i'm very particular how it' dressed and keep tweeking it for days afterwards .
As part of my OH last job, he went around business buildings & put up their trees. When it came to our tree he just let me do as by then he was sick.
No I wouldn't let anyone do ours, I love doing & am very particular & like a theme.
No I love doing it myself, I can understand if Ur a millionaire in a huge country house with several huge trees to do, but otherwise no
