Spider Lays Eggs in Man's Toe during Cruise Holiday
In the News
It is not only spiderman that was affected by the bite from an arachnid , this man also suffered from a bite from one
He was on a cruise and the ship docked in Marseille, in the south of France at the time
He wasn't left spinning webs , but was in a spin when his toe turned purple overnight
That wasn't the worse of the problems, doctors then discovered the spider had laid eggs inside his toe
When the doctor cut his toe open, the spider's eggs spilled out
Even after antibiotics he had to return to the doctor
He then found a hatched spider under the skin of his toe trying to burrow out
I doubt this kind of thing happens with domestic spiders, this one was a none poisonous Peruvian wolf spider
But i would keep an eye out on the 'web' for further info
I have just read the story from your link and probably wished I hadn’t after seeing the photo of the toe, that was pretty nasty.
I don't want any incies laying eggs in my tootsies but then they'd have to be stir crazy to hang around my feet for long lol.
Glad I didn't read this just found loads of hatchlings in my kitchen cheeky little ******* hate them
I had a serious spider bite a few years ago from one of those fake or false widow spiders we presumed and ended up in hospital for about 5 days and had to have surgery to get down to healthy bleeding tissue. I was scared of spiders before but now I have a list of people on my phone who i can call anytime of the day or not to come and save me if I have a spider in my house !
Photos available if i am allowed to put them on here.
suevernon1968 omfg that would do me in can't deal with spiders at all and I'm not surprised that you would ask someone to come and get them out of your house can't say what I do
suevernon1968 Wow that looks gruesome S , you would not think a spider could do this
telmel i was awake when the surgery was done and when the surgeon peeled the first layer of skin off you could see the two little holes
