Whats Your Views on N.I.M.B.Y? Do They Drive You Mad or Can You Relate to Them.

Ask a Question

So today I was out with my family and we came across a road where there was a sign at the entrance to a road saying No vehicles for HS2 . I'm not asking do you agree or disagree with HS2 but what your thoughts are on NIMBY'S ? Do they drive you mad or are do you understand there point of view ?With regards to the road we went past its a public highway and I cannot possibly see how vehicles for 1 project can be stopped going up and down the road we saw .

Just glad I don't drive Stuart. I would not cope well for so very many reasons.

I like NIMBYs in other peoples gardens but can not relate to them, I would not like them in my garden. HS2 is that a southern thing?

I agree with some NIMBYs especially if they’ve had part of their garden or land compulsory purchase order.

I don't know how that would work, unless it was trying to direct them to the another route, I know where we life they try to discourage HGVs as the roads are very narrow, but they are ignored and regularly drivers get stuck.

I guess they are something until you need them you don’t want to know them but if something is going to rip your community apart you wouldn’t be to long getting on board
