Slightly older kids can get grown up ready meals, with adult favourites like Katsu chicken curry, BBQ pulled pork, and Thai chicken noodles.
These are for kids aged 3 and up, and are slightly more pricey at £2.50 each.
Babies from six months up can also get flavour building pouches, like fish pie, beef and potatoes, and leek casserole.
There’s also cereal pouches, including baby rice at £1.50 for babies aged 4-6 months, and banana multigrain porridge £1.50, for babies aged 6 months and upwards.
Fiona Wilcock, a registered nutritionist who helped to develop the range with Sainsbury’s, said, “While babies have a natural preference for sweet flavours, it’s very important that they learn to eat and enjoy savoury foods from the outset when weaning.
“For this reason, there are many more savoury foods in the Little Ones range, and we have no biscuits, sweet rice cakes, biscotti, or cereal bars for babies under one year.”
All products in the Little Ones range are now available in stores and online.
