Each month we'll now be sharing the best contracts for top smartphones.

If you have any tips of tricks to help us find the best smartphone contract deals, please share them below

Here's how we're doing it... It'd be good to hear your thoughts.

First, we manually research as many smartphone contracts we can find directly from network providers and put them into a giant spreadsheet:

This is one of our biggest spreadsheets, with over 1,400+ rows of manually updated data.

We note:

• Contract length
• Data
• Monthly cost
• Upfront fees
• Total cost
• and more

We do not include cashback as not everyone likes this.

Then, we use various mobile comparison sites such as mobiles.co.uk and moneysupermarket.com to find additional deals. This is because sometimes cheaper and exclusive deals are available via other retailers.

How do we choose what to include?

What makes a good smartphone deal is dependent on your needs and the coverage in your local area.

At present, we filter all the deals for a minimum 5GB of data, then sort by total cost (monthly cost x contract length + upfront fees).

What smartphones will be included?

We'll begin with Apple and Samsung smartphones as these are the most popular with Latest Deal members. We'll try to do the most recent models for each of these brands.

What about cheaper contracts?

There may be cheaper contracts available if, for example, you accept less than 5GB of data. We think that's too small.

There may also be cheaper plans for you if you are eligible for select state benefits. We do not include these.

It may also be cheaper to buy the smartphone direct and use a SIM only plan. These deals are available elsewhere already on Latest Deals.
